Robinson Terminal, Springfield VA

This 72,400 SF warehouse needed extra storage, and so the Owner asked us to make an addition on the North side of the building and replace the existing wooden truss roof, spanning 130 feet, with a new steel frame over the existing building. After analyzing the existing conditions, we suggested that the roof be raised instead, at a savings of $500,000.

Four masonry towers were added at each corner of the building to hold the HVAC equipment and reduce clutter and since the building is visible from the Washington Beltway, a new masonry skin was designed for the perimeter to improve the the buildings presence.
